TFFT Career Networking Training

The Career Networking Forum, held on October 11th and 12th, 2024, was conducted by Jobortunity trainers Ally Yassir, Maboni Nick Kimwemwe, and Yonaza Msemo at TFFT premises. Around 30-35 TFFT alumni participated in this two-day training, which covered essential career development topics such as CV writing, cover letter preparation, behavior change management, and leveraging personal strengths to seize opportunities.

Career Guidance
Facilitated by Ally Yassir and Maboni Nick, participants were guided on how to create professional CVs and compelling cover letters. They learned the key components of an effective CV and how to structure their cover letters to highlight their qualifications and career aspirations.

Behavior Change Management
Maboni Nick and Yonaza Msemo facilitated sessions on understanding strengths and weaknesses, encouraging participants to recognize their unique abilities and areas for growth. The trainers also provided insights into taking opportunities by teaching participants how to spot and seize both big and small chances that could lead to significant achievements.

Outcomes
The participants left the training feeling more confident in their ability to present themselves to employers. They learned how to write clear and professional CVs and cover letters, avoiding common mistakes and using job-specific keywords to enhance their chances. Additionally, the training improved their self-awareness, helping them understand their strengths and how to leverage them, while also working on their weaknesses. Participants were also empowered to take proactive steps toward their goals, actively look for opportunities, and embrace new challenges with confidence.
